Thee men's Timberland Mt. Maddsen medium brown hiking sneakers provide all-day comfort ideal for weekend trail hikes and everyday wear. Made of waterproof Better Leather from an LWG tannery and synthetic leather, these hikers have a round reinforced toe with a climbing rubber tip and secure lace-up closure. I like my new shoes.
They are great. I should have gotten an 11 and not a 10.5 but I’ve already used the heck out of them. My old ones were 20 years old and I needed new ones to climb a mountain. Some of the stitches around the toe area started to frew. But I used the heck out of them.

Not the right fit for me.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I liked the shoe, but even in my size (12W), they did not feel comfortable. The toe box seemed to press against my big toe in an odd way. The leather also felt stiff and rigid. A nice shoe but just didn't work.

NEVER BUY CLEARANCE
The right inner side of this shoe (the arch side facing the other foot) is called the medial side, which is not firm, and has a major defect, noticable upon wearing and walking in this shoe. Due to this shoe being on clearance, it is final sale. Cannot walk safely in this shoe because of instability resulting from this major defect. Final sale was $120 and the shoe is not wearable from day one. Do not buy from clearance because clearly this shoe isn't up to its reputation when someone maybe returned it for the same reason - the only pair in the clearance section. Not satisfied. Otherwise, the shoe is pretty and the colour is great.

Great heavy waterproof shoes. But wait for asal.
Great shoes for sloppy weather. However, get them on sale. They are incredibly durable but they are quite heavy. I have had two pairs and they are bulletproof.

For work as a handyman

Okay shoes, not great
The sizing seems small. The shoe laces are long and uncommonly slippery. I have to double knot them to keep them from untying while wearing them. I specifically bought them because they have metal eyelets. Most shoes these days have fabric eyelets which were thru due to friction from the shoe laces. So, in that regard, I got what I wanted. I simply bought a pair of shoes and I not interested in developing a relationship with Timberland.

48 years old and these are the best I had!!!
Hi all ! Just wanted to say that these boots ( Slipper's ) are the most comfort one I have ever owned by far. I can walk 25 000 to 30 000 steps a day where I work for GMC Chevrolet dealer up down the truck all day comfort. I have tried many shoes, like even top brands, and not even close to these ones FOOT PAIN IS GONE now!! Thx to thess shoes. Winter friendly. Once or twice a year I put mink oil on them. Look like new again and help for Water Proofing. THX Timberland for getting my feet back on the ground all day comfort. It makes me SO happy :D

Great purchase!

The retail stores don't normally have the size and width to fit me comfortably. I ordered these online after checking the different styles within my budget. I'm very happy with these right out of the box, the comfort, the quality and the breathable waterproof design is exactly what I've been looking for.

Shoes are uncomfortable and not waterproof. I walk about 9-10 hours a day doing deliveries. I only used these Shoes when it rains and my feet got soaked. When i did.

Second time buying these shoes

Great shoe!
Great shoe for winter and spring. Water resistant makes it ideal in slush and snow, walking to the bus stop or in and out of your car in winter and spring.
