Not waterproof
The boots were advertised as water proof. My feet and socks got wet on my first hike. They are definitely not waterproof

Experience adventure with Merrell's Men's Tempo Sol Mid Waterproof Hiking Boot. Crafted from waterproof suede leather and mesh, it offers comfort with a breathable lining, padded collar, and lightweight cushioning. Durable and odor-resistant, it's perfect for every trail.

The shoe is comfortable, but it lacks in durability, and is not waterproof. Within a month, the foam sole has ripped and torn on all sides and the tread on the bottom has already rounded over. Ontop of that a part of the tongue fold rubs my skin raw on the top of my foot no matter how I adjust it.

These are exactly what I expected them to be, based on previous experience with Merrell. They are better than the Keens I just junked after two years!

In desperate times (the day before the January snowstorm!) searching for boots to wear for shoveling. Found these in the store. Read no reviews. These fit the bill and more because I can also wear them for hiking. They say waterproof (DSW offered to waterproof them at store for $8.99 but I decided not to). I did spray them at home with boot spray. But anyway they worked great! Feet stayed dry and comfortable and they look nice too (not big and clunky like my work boots).

I wore the Tempo Sol Mid Waterproof to Lake Placid and Whiteface Mountains. Great pair to walk and enjoy the tough terrain.

Love these! Broke in very quickly and very comfortable! The grip on bottom is super helpful when hiking on hills and rocks! I broke mine in hiking over 35 miles in 6 days throughout Missouri and Arkansas! My feet hurt way less than with any other shoes I have previously hiked in.

Unfortunately, these ripped on day 1 and Merrell has chosen to do nothing other than offer me 30% off ANOTHER pair. Are you kidding? I can't imagine spending MORE money with them and sadly, I won't. One of my favorite brands of the past has gone the way of all the corporate monsters, prizing profit over quality while I continue to believe that both can live in reasonable harmony if your profit motive is not grotesque. Definitely disappointed and hope no one else has this issue although we did see a few similar reviews of these shoes (AFTER the fact) on other sites;(

I bought these for my boyfriend as a early Christmas present and he absolutely loves them and was extremely surprised on how comfortable they fit in true size they were.

These guys are more of a very stiff (which is good) heavy duty tennis shoe. They have fantastic tread, are very comfortable, and are very light. But I've noticed that hiking with them that they are so light they have a tendency to not provide "complete" top ankle support when tied and allow a bit of ankle wobble at times. So, like I said great for a fantastic well-made pair of heavy-duty tennis shoes with very healthy tread, but not really the best mountain trail hikers.

I looked at the Waterproof label on these and assumed they were actually waterproof. But i played a round of disc golf in a couple inches of snow and my feet were wet (not soaked). Then I realized there were dozens of ventilation holes in them. Well, duh.! I would say water resistant, not waterproof.

I bought these to wear in cold wet weather and they've been wonderful. They kept my feet warm sitting at a football game at 33 degrees. Also very comfortable, even with my arthritis problems.

Amazing shoes & design, lots of room in the toe BUT knocked down a star cuz they are pretty hard on the bottom without buying orthos/insterts. Kinda let down but after swapping, (and extra money 🙄) they are my new fav boots for hiking

We hiked all over Iceland with these, and they were 100% waterproof and tough enough for every trail! Unfortunately, they have a very hard knot where the tongue meets the side, so with thinner boot socks, it was quite painful.
