Vans Men's Atwood Deluxe Sneaker

Look nice, not particularly comfortable. My first (and last) pair of Vans. I purchased these online so I never had an opportunity to try them on before ordering them. They feel a little bizarre like they are bottom heavy right out of the box. Also they fit tight. Many of the reviews I read before ordering mentioned that they fit a little wide, they definitely do not... I couldn't in good conscience recommend these shoes. I wore them one day, took them off and they've sat ever since. I did however find a better looking, better fitting, comparable casual shoe from "another retailer" (not allowed to mention who). Do yourself a favour and check out the Levi's line of shoes!

I've been a proud Vans sneaker wearer since I was a junior in high school. That's been 48 years ago, and Vans has never let me down. The Atwood Deluxe is a great pair for walking and to wear at work. They are comfortable on my feet and they always have the right size to fit my feet. All other brands last anywhere from 2 to 2 1/2 years, but Vans begin to wear out for me by 6-7 years. Name me a brand-name sneaker that can beat that. I have 4 pairs at home including an Orange Old Skool pair I wear only when going to the lacrosse games at The Dome.

I bought these shoes several weeks ago. I was getting disappointed with Vans shoes many years ago for their comfort level compared to Vans from the 80s and 90s. However, they have changed again for the better. These shoes are extremely comfortable. I walk a lot every day for my job and to stay active. These are one of the most comfortable, well-cushioned shoes that I have purchased in recent years. The stretch fabric also feels great over the entire foot as I walk, sit, stand and move around all day.

Decided to try out the deluxe option on the Atwood, and am pleasantly surprised at the comfort of these shoes. I've been using support inserts on previously owned Vans because they are pretty flat. I was worried that the comfort insert would not be enough - but it has been perfect. The black on black is good look - the upper has a nice matte color and minimal subtle pattern. Perfectly what I needed after replacing an older pair of Vans - will be looking to grab another Deluxe offering from Vans soon.

I've always wanted to try some Vans and finally broke down, should have made this purchase long ago. I never knew they were built with internal elastic bands which pretty much negate the need for laces, and also keep the tongue in place in the middle of the shoe. Because of that unique feature (to me anyway) my next pair will be sans laces. I also prefer going bare nekkid with no socks and these shoes make that a breeze. These are my new "dress" shoes! The total pedo (as in foot) package.

These shoes have saved my life multiple times. While hunting in Sudan, the illusive snipes which can only be hunted the hottest part of the day, running across the dessert, the sand would have obviously burnt my feet and legs away at 247 degrees..... but, with these sweet VANS and the flipper attachment for running in sand IM ALIVE! We caught 18 snipes that trip and we are like kings for almost a week. So thank you VAN people. I will always buy your shoes and automobiles.

skated mine daily for 2 months and still no tears. Soul is holding up well.

Fit a lil wider than most Vans which work great for me.
