Skechers Men's After Burn Memory Fit Extra Wide Width Sneaker

I purchased a pair of Skechers After Burn sneakers a few weeks back. The delivery was even faster than quoted, 4 days. I love these shoes. I cannot even remember how many pairs of these I have purchased over the years, probably approaching 10 pairs. I walk dogs every day, in all types of weather, my dogs don't care and always want to go. After Burn are like a light weight hiker, I use them on dirt trails, and paved side walks. I find them very supportive of my feet, and soft enough to take it easy on my 60 year old knees. I know they may wear a little quicker than some shoes, but I would rather have a softer sole that absorbs and cushions my body. I call them a 3 season shoe, greatfor me.

The comfort is not as good as when I bought it 3 months ago. Working on it for more than a few hours is too much for me. As a result of buying them for work, my feet are hurting

These shoes are very well made and feel sturdy when wearing them. The cushioning is nice and they feel comfortable on my feet. The thing I like most is I was able to find them in 5E width as I have wider feet in a size 13 length. The one downside in my opinion is Skecher's shoes have the insole sewn/glued into the shoe so they can't be removed. I would like the ability to change out the insole rather than just replace the entire shoe. I would give them a 5 stars for the shoe, but drop it to a 4 because of the lack of flexibility to change out the insole.

I returned the shoes as the insole was not removable. I have orthh hi Odis I wanted to install. I purchased another pair of shoes. A pair of slip ons. They don’t work with orthodics either. When I tried to return those, I was told I could not return them because the soles were dirty. ( they had a couple of pieces of stone in the treads ) so much for the 60 day return policy. I am very disheartened and a little disappointed. I now have a new pair of slip-ins and a healthy mistrust of The Shoe Comany

It only took about half of my lifetime to realize that I needed extra wide width instead of just wide width. What a difference. The memory foam takes a bit to get used to but the sides of my feet don't feel cramped as they did with a regular wide foot shoe. My dominant heel isn't callousing as bad as previous shoes either. Good for general walking/doing errands and office work.

Feels comfortable at first but the memory foam bottems out as you walk making it a hard under foot compared to regular insoles. Also my feet slide inside the shoes because of the memory foam, on any incline, making it difficult to balance and offers little support. They're also very hot, even in cool Spring weather.

Shoes that come in size 14 and that are wide enough are hard enough to find, bit add comfort and some style to that and it is usually impossible. Thankfully Skechers sells these shoes. I love them. Only negative with them is that I wish the memory foam would last longer before it wears down and you need a new pair.
