Pretty Good
I'm a 14 4e, and this shoe has a little more room in the toe box than most NB shoes, but not much extra room otherwise. I tried a medium footbed but had to change to a thin one because there's not enough depth. I use the shoes daily in the gym, and they do pretty good on the treadmill and for training. My heels don't like marshmellowy "walking-on-clouds" shoes, and these shoes are not like that. They're sufficely cushioned but not overly so. They fit well in the heels, and the tongues are really comforable and stay in place. I'll continue to buy this shoe if NB will keep it in stock and not tinker too much with the design.
Yes, I recommend this product.

Excellent replacement for the 847
The FuelCell Walker Elite is an excellent replacement for the 847. I had previously purchased and worn three pairs of the 847's. I am 6'4" and weigh about 280 lbs. I purposely walk an average of 3 miles a day. The comfort, support and durability of the 847 was great. I was surprised to learn that they were being discontinued. The FuelCell Walker Elite has filled that void. It is a comfortable and supportive shoe due to the stabilizers. The sleek and airy design (including the thinner, scooped, tongue) make it an attractive shoe. My custom orthotics fit them like a glove.
Yes, I recommend this product.

FuelCell Walker Elite

I'm 74 and a fitness fanatic. Been wearing NB for many years. I wear them down to the point that I begin to feel lower back pains, then replace the shoes. Was wearing the NB-847's for the last few years and loved them dearly. But they're no longer manufactured so I ventured to this Walker Elite. I'm very pleased with the snug fit at the which stabilizes my ankle and affords me better stability. The cushion power at the heel is very nice. I'm tempted to buy another pair for the next rotation should NB stop making them!! This is a great walking shoe.
Yes, I recommend this product.

Awesome

I was looking for a comfortable shoe to wear standing up all day. I decided to but a pair of these walker elite shoes, so far it’s been one of the best shoes decision I’ve made. I tournament fish, and these shoes feel like wings in y feet. They’re light, they’re supposed and they’re comfortable all day while standing on the deck of my boat. If you have knee back pain as I do, you cannot go wrong with these shoes on your feet while being active. I highly recommend them, and you’ll do the same after you put on your first pair…👍🏾🫡
Yes, I recommend this product.

Great support, poor design
Long time NB wearer and I needed a shoe that was a little more supportive for longer walks and long days on my feed. This seemed like a great choice. It is very supportive and great for walking. The only problem is the heel collar is about 1/4 of an inch higher than a typical NB runner and it rubs my angles raw. I was hoping they would break in but that is just not happening. I’ve never had this problem before with a pair of NB. Shoes started out OK but got progressively worse and were unwearable after about 10 walks.

Soles already worn smooth after about 35 days.
Unfortunately these shoes are already showing signs of wear badly after only 35 days, walking about 7 miles a day in them (primarily on concrete). The soles are worn smooth or ripped up and there are even some minor signs of wear on the uppers but that's nowhere near as big of a problem. I cannot recommend these shoes. Additionally I am getting blisters on the tips of my toes from these. I'm a long time New Balance customer and this is the first time I've been truly disappointed in a pair of shoes from this company.
No, I do not recommend this product.

The shoes are true to size. I have been wearing New Balance since the 1980’s. I have been able to buy these products because of the continuity in design and fit. The shoes are consistent in size and fit. I have been a runner, walker, hiker, tennis player etc. The shoes are always true to size. I am a retired Physcian and have recommended the product to my patients over the years. There is no perfect product but this product seems to fit the bill for a majority of people.

Narrow and uncomfortable
I am a dedicated NB customer. I have probably owned more than 50 NB running and tennis shoes. I need a 4E shoe, and this seemed to fit my needs for a good city walking shoe. Unfortunately it is the most uncomfortable NB shoe I have ever worn. Very narrow cut and generally uncomfortable. If I wear them for more than an hour, it causes a lot of pain Very disappointed in this model. Staying with the 1080 or 860 next time. If I could give it 0 stars, I would.
