adidas Women's Barreda Mary Jane

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I'll start off my saying that I made the mistake of wearing these shoes for the first time on a walking tour on a cruise excursion. I figured they're like tennis shoes, they'll be comfortable enough... nope. I wore them without socks (which I believe they are meant to be worn that way). There is an area at heal that has a type of plastic that is probably supposed to keep your foot from moving around. Unfortunately, this particular area created painful blisters that lasted most of my trip. I had even sized down 1/2 size so my foot wouldn't move around a lot. Just too bad because they are a cute design. Might still try to wear with socks.

I usually wear 7/7.5 other shoes but adidas usually 6.5. I bought 6.5 here and they fit well az expected. I cut off the elastic so I can wear as slip-ons and I love them! Light weight and good cushioning. Only thing is these shoes have a gel-like “L” shaped heel stickers the size of a quarter on the left and right sides inside the heel area. This is to help keep the shoe contact with your heel and I think it’s not a bad idea. But when I wear without socks, these two points start to rub against my skin and it caused some irritation Took off before blister formed. Ankle no show socks will prob take care of that but just know this is there. Otherwise a great shoe! Love the red - beats a pair of red Toms any day.

(This review was collected as part of a promotion.) Like: The style is cute, more flattering and interesting than a basic mary jane. The sole is non slip and durable unlike some similar ballet or slimline styles. I like that the red option is almost as wearable as a neutral. Dislike: The suede part of the shoe is less vibrant than the fabric and elastic. The overall shape is more uniform oblong than shaped in the toe and arch as I had expected from the pictures. Fits a bit big but would not size down. Would look best on an average to avg wide foot to give the shoe more shape.

I was worried about the sizing for these but I got my size and they fit great. I always wear socks with them. No issues with the straps on my end they are snug and comfy and I actually didn’t realize the shoes were cloud foam so that’s nice. I will say the back does sort of rub my heel but since I wear it with socks doesn’t bother me too much. The one thing I didn’t like was the suede part since it has a sort of faded look, wish it was a different material but overall love the shoe and have gotten lots of compliments on them!

By far so very comfortable I slipped them on and they look good in almost everything is perfect for this spring weather. My coworkers are now going to get a couple pairs. The only issue I have is I bought this same size in red and for some reason, the red does not fit. But this white one is the most comfortable. And the reviews also say go a half size down, listen to it. My normal size is a 10 and I got a 9 1/2 and it’s a dream.

I own the Barrera code, tai Kwon do and they are all 9 1/2 in women's. so I got same size and they are too long and wide. because the straps aren't really adjustable, you have to be really careful of the size. they are cute and the short while I wore them inside they seemed comfy (except for feeling like they were slipping off). sadly they went back. I bought them for an event and that event had passed
