Everytime it's the same excellent boot.

Satisfied repeat buyer here. I wear a size 15. Not all manufacturers even make that size. Of those that I've tried the sizing has always been on the small side. Oh but Merrel.. Each new purchase fits the same as the last. In the past I worried that the waterproof boot would be too much for warm weather hiking. In my experience this isn't a problem. In fact I wear them in almost any conditions: 30 C + down to -15 C. Ankle socks in the summer, wool hiker socks in the winter. I typically wear out a pair every 2+ years. Yearly average of 10k steps per day. That's a lot of wear. Tough boot 🥾 works well in a wide range of conditions. Wll done Merrel.

Long lasting

I've had this second pair as daily use footwear for over four years. (Hiking, camping, shopping, work and walking the dogs) They are nearly indestructible. Originally purchased a pair of low cut Moab hikers and man I can honestly say they where the most comfortable shoes I'd ever worn . Hence when I needed a new pair naturally chose Merrells again but in a mid cut. And this is what has brought me here again as it's getting near time to replace the old ones as would like to break them in before adventuring out on longer treks. But being frugal thinking I most likely can squeeze year five out of the current pair. Best shoes these fat feet have ever met 👍

Yes, I recommend this product.

The ALMOST perfect boot.

Best all around boot, I have used so far. The break in time was long. I wore them to the office for 3 weeks, 2-mile hike once a week, then a 7-mile Saturday. the next time I put them on, they were like clouds. Only 1 competitor had a more comfortable boot, but much more expensive and don't last as long as Merrels. That said the one key that would make this perfect would be the drive of the heal I get from the competitors boot I have only found in 2 running shoes. It also had a vibration sole, though, so maybe a different model of sole? That would make this boot perfect. Also a little bit further back offset of the second lace loop-the "ankle locking" loop.

Moab for snowshoeing

I bought a pair of Moab 3 boots at the end of December 2023. Wore them in the house for a couple of days then I started wearing them outside. They keep my feet warm but not hot. This week we are having an arctic blast and I used them in snowshoeing for a couple of hours. They were great!. I don't snowshoe unless there is at least a foot of snow on the ground and I look for virgin snow. I hiked across a frozen flood plain of the Grand River hiking over reeds and the bushes that surround the plain and over to the river. That hike convinced me that these are really good boots. I use 50 year old wooden snowshoes.

I probably should have bought 2 pair.

I’ve been wearing Merrels almost exclusively for over 5 years. These definitely have met my expectation so far. I had a pair of Moab 2s a year ago that hardly lasted 6 months and was wondering if the quality slipped. So far I’m liking this new pair. I’m only giving 4 stars because if they don’t make it at least a year, they aren’t worth 5. I use them for an everyday work boot. My time is split about 25% office and 75% field. By field I mean, Wisconsin, all weather, wet, snow, tall grass, mud, dirt, etc… you know, THE FIELD. But at the end of the day, they are still fashionable enough to satisfy the professional standards of the office. Let’s hope they get me through.

Yes, I recommend this product.

All around action boots

I have been wearing these for nearly a month now. They have become my favorite "goto" boot for most adventures including riding my fat bike, cutting firewood, plowing/shoveling snow, going to town on errands, maintenance and repair projects on the property among others. They are comfortable out of the box, seem durable, have good traction and are well constructed so far. With the addition of electric socks, they work well in subzero temps and snow/ice. They are very stable and also give great foot support throughout the day. They should do very well on the hiking trails as well. Time will tell as to how well they hold up. I think they look great and I like them a lot.

Yes, I recommend this product.

Wide Widths in SIX Colors...Can't beat that!

I just want to thank Merrell for having wide widths in more than 1 color. Most shoe companies offer wide widths on some models, not all, and when they do offer them it's usually just the basic color scheme. Merrell offers six colors for wide widths for the Moab 3 Mid...and I am truly grateful. I tested these "bad larrys" on a rocky 2 mile trail in Dallas over the weekend and couldn't have been happier with my purchase. I'm going to wear the hell out of these, they are super comfortable and jagged rocks don't poke at the soles of your feet! Thanks again, Merrell :) P.S. The Mrs. loves hers too!

They work as advertised.

I needed a better pair of hiking boots for moderate to rough terrain where there is a lot of gradient chang and high risk of slipping on loose forest vegetation as well as rocks and tree roots. I went with this version of the Moab because I wanted ankle support. After several hikes and walks I am very happy with my purchase. The grip coming down slopes is excellent. Its a great fit by going up 1/2 a size which I usually do with boots and in particular around the toe box. I have not encountered really heavy rain yet so cant comment on the waterproof feature but overall I recommend this product.
