Without a doubt go up half a size

Great boot! Definitely need to go half size up, probably even a full size if you need thicker socks. I am, without fail, a 7 in all shoes and I needed a 7.5 as the 7 was very tight and slightly short. But the 7.5 is perfect and the boot is very comfortable.

Warm and Stylish

Great little boots for running errands and being out when we’ve got snow. You’d want taller ones if you were going sledding or something like that but there are great for my uses and kept me warm.

Worth it while on sale

Adequate for wearing in winter months but not as comfortable or warm as I thought they would be. They are a bit stiff but perhaps they will break in with more wear. Happy I was able to buy on sale, otherwise I don't think they are worth the full price.

Size Up 1/2 Size!

This is the perfect winter boot to go for walks or into town. they're warm and keep your feet dry. I would size up a half size, I wear an eight and bought an eight and a half, this gives me plenty of room for a thick sock. I love theses so much I bought a second pair! Oh I have a wide foot and these are very roomy, plus being leather the stretch a bit too!

True to size

I love the true to size comfy boot. I have very high arches which makes them very easy to put on. The slip on boots true size never work for me because of my high arches.

Serious disappointment

Tight and uncomfortable, not enough lining to be warm on winter walks. My, things have changed at Sorel since my Joan of Arc tall boots, which are same size and fit perfectly. Not recommended.

so far, so good (3 weeks in...)

I've only worn these about 4 times, but so far so good. I chose them because I saw another reviewer note casual walking as well as hiking in them, including falling into a frozen lake, and they stayed relatively waterproof. I have not tested those limits yet but after a few more weeks of winter in Wyoming, maybe I'll know. I haven't worn them in a heavy snow storm but for walking around icy and wet sidewalks, they have held up well and still look like new. I ordered a half size up (8) as many people suggested, and they fit fine, but I might have been able to get away with my regular size 7.5
