Hooks on boots/shoes should be banned SAFETY issue

I didn't see the hook at the top of the boot. I won't buy shoes or boots with hooks only holes for shoelaces as I had a very very bad fall from the hook having hooked to the other foot lace while walking.

Received boots with a defective zipper on one of the boots. Returned the boots but was not refunded the shipping. Disappointing as the boots were only returned because they were defective.

Absolutely massive calf in the boot, cannot wear and have to pay to ship them back. Closest store to me is 2.5 hours away. Will not buy from the store again.
