SOREL Women's Ona Ave Low Waterproof Sneaker

These shoes are very cute. I was so excited to wear them on my upcoming European trip. I had read that the tongue is stiff but also saw that others had success with softening it up. I did not. While breaking them, despite all attempts to bend/soften the tongue, I got terrible lace bite. At 50, this is my first experience ever with it - and if you haven’t had it, let me tell you, it’s terrible. My ankle was seriously swollen. Now, six days later, I still have pain there and can’t even wear my go to running shoes. It’s very frustrating as I’m out the money and still in search of another shoe to do what I needed these to do. I feel robbed. I’ve had success with Sorel in the past but these are a BIG NO.

I love the look of these shoes and the fit is good for someone with a wide front foot. The only thing I didn’t like was the length and the stiffness of the tongue under the laces. It digs into the area where my ankle and foot meet. I’m working on trying to soften it up. These are ok for walking, but for me, because they are platform, which I wanted, they don’t bend at the toe, so all day walking is not totally comfy, but not bad. I usually wear and 8 1/2, but many cute sneakers are too tight in the width after long wear — these are great in that department.

I just got them. I wanted a stylish waterproof sneaker for commuting to work. I love the look of the sneaker. I ordered my normal sz 8 which was tight on me. I had no issues with the return process. Ordered a sz 8.5, fit perfect. These shoes are a bit stiffer and heavier than I thought they would be. I’m assuming it is because these are made with water proofing in mind. They are comfortable and I love the look of them on me. I’m keeping them hoping they will be less stiff with more wear. As long as they are waterproof I’m happy with this shoe.

Absolute fan! Ordered prior to travel to Australia and New Zealand as my go-to shoes for the trip! They were perfect! Comfortable for walking tours, and perfect for less than ideal weather or ground conditions. No issues with breaking them in, and I enjoyed the confidence of the waterproofing. Ribbed soles are challenging to clean, but it can be done! Mine still look great after eight months, and I added elastic no-tie laces. Now, they are perfect! First pair is silver, and I’m back for black.

I love these shoes and bought them in every color and now am planing to give as gifts to my loved ones who live in wet and cold climates. It's so hard to find a good sneaker that is actually waterproof, and the extra little boost from the platform bottom is amazing - the extra height is perfect for walking through some of the more intense puddles we have in the fall and winter, and it looks so chic with all my outfits. I am so obsessed with these sneakers!! Note: I have very flat feet and also go for wide shoes whenever possible, but these just came in traditional offerings. I am pleased to report three pairs and many miles of walking later, I have had zero issue with the traditional width in my size and also no issue with pain in my non-existent foot arches. I wear size 9, ordered size 9, and am very comfortable!

Although it said these were low cut, they were still very night up to the ankle bone. Uncomfortable

I may have reviewed these before, but today they got a real waterproof test as we have experienced 8.5 inches of rain in the past few days. Today, we had lots of water flowing through our property and I was wearing these when I started shoveling and diverting water. After an hour of work with water over the laces many times, I came in side to discover that my socks were TOTALLY DRY! Simply amazing!!

These shoes were comfortable on day one. I purchased them last minute for a trip and wore them sightseeing on multiple days without a problem and they kept my feet dry on rainy days.The sole is thick but has flex so is comfortable. I added a supportive insole as the one it comes with is not. The silver color is subtle and fashionable so they’re super cute. I’ll definitely buy them in another color!
