New Balance Women's Fresh Foam V9 Wide Sneaker

I have worn Freah Foams for about 3 years and they are a comfortable, sturdy, long lasting running shoe. I used to wear Hokas, which I loved for comfort, but the soles never lasted very long. I was wearing the FF 1080’s, but took a step back to the 680’s because they were 1/2 the price of the 1080’s and almost as good. I’m not running as much and I wanted a shoe that I could wear to classes at the gym and keep a little cleaner! Still wear my 1080’s outside to run and walk, but these are so great for walking and gym. I had to go up a 1/2 size in these, as opposed to my 1080’s, which was weird, but no big deal.

I have been getting 680s for the last few years and they have been consistently comfortable with no need to go to a store to try on. Unfortunately, the v9 fits completely differently to the previous versions such that it might as well be a different style shoes altogether. They are extra roomy, less cushioned, and, the thing that makes they impossible to wear, is the side of the shoe is now digging into my ankle bone because it is several millimeters higher than the previous versions of the same shoe. I'm so disappointed because I loved not having to shop for sneakers every time I need them - I could just order the same shoe and size with no fuss before - now it's back to a whole order/return or find time to go to a store.

The cushion and support on these shoes is great. That part is very comfortable. I broke the shoes in on several long walks. Then, after wearing the shoes for an 8 hour work day, I had 2 dime-sized spots on the inside of my ankles that were rubbed raw just below where the bone protrudes. Ouch! I'm not sure if I'll be able to wear the shoes again without using moleskin or thick socks that cover my ankles, which I don't like to wear. This design definitely needs work.

Hello Shoe Lovers, The toe box could be roomier, brought an 11 wide my usual size. I decided to try a different style New Balance (NB) 680 instead of the 520 NB, which are roomier and have no problems with an 11 wide. The possible feet slightly swelling when moving around for a while appears to be causing the need for the extra room. I also wear the thinnest socks. A key take away, If they fit just right, suggest to sizing up.

I wasn't expecting these shoes to be as big of a change as it has been! The comfort is super great, and it feels like I am floating sometimes! I notice a complete difference in my energy levels, because I have better support in my feet. I am able to slip them on, and slip them right off without any issues. I naturally have wide feet, so I was concerned if my 8.5 would fit, but it fits perfect!

Of all of the NB shoes I've purchased, this shoe is by far the best. The fit is true and comfortable. I really like the soft blue/lavender combination, almost looks like periwinkle. No need to break these in, just put them on and go! I have a wide foot so tougher to fit, and these absolutely fit perfectly. Liked these so much I ordered another pair in another color. Great shoe and great value!

These are a very comfortable shoe. I have difficult feet and only wear New Balance sneakers. This style is new to me. They were comfortable to wear from the beginning, no need to break them in. I have narrow feet, but need a toe box with room for my toes to spread out. I’ve had multiple bunion surgeries on each foot. I will be happy to buy a different color in this style in the future.

These are so cushiony and comfortable. Perfect fit for my foot and I have issues finding something that is comfy after a couple hours of wearing. I purchase NB often and switch between a couple different pairs because of foot sensitivity. These are awesome and I hope I can grab another pair! I like the mesh fabric for summertime, but wear this type all year round.
