This is a beautiful shoe. I originally purchased a size 7W and needed to size down to a 6 1/2W. The size 7W would have worked with a medium weight trouser sock however I wanted a loafer to wear without socks.

I am a size 8.5 in most brands. Size 8.5 in this shoe was way too tight for me, they hurt when I first tried them on. I thought, hmm, maybe I need a half size larger, so I bought a size 9. When I first put them on, size 9 felt great. But as I came to find out, when I walked to work, my right heel kept slipping out. I tried insoles. That didn't work. I tried stuffing the toe box but my heel kept slipping out. I have never experienced this with a pair of shoes before.

The shoes are very comfortable and stylish. I purchased the brown. However, they squeak when walking, even with socks or tights. I had to add an insole to reduce the noise.

Literally one of the cutest loafers I own. I got the dark navy and they are absolutely beautiful in person. They sort of tailor to your feet. I got my true size and they fit well with room. You could probably go half size down if you wanted it more fitted and don’t wear socks with your loafers. I’ve been eyeing these for a while and was so excited to get them on sale! Love DSW!
