Excellent waterproof, hiking shoe for children
These worked great for my nine-year-old on our trip to Iceland!

You and your mini-me will be ready for adventure in the Youth Boys' Moab Speed 2 Low Waterproof Hiking Bootie. Ready for whatever the day may hold. The mid-ankle height with an easy on/off closure creates a stable fit while anti-stink lining helps reduce odors.

These Merrell Kids Moab shoes have officially become part of my kid's personality. He loves them so much I'm starting to think he'd wear them to bed if I'd let him. They survive mud, rocks, playground adventures, and mysterious puddles that somehow only children can find. They're comfortable, durable, and apparently fast enough to outrun parents when it's time to leave the park. The only downside? Convincing him to wear any other pair of shoes is now a daily negotiation. If your kid is an adventure machine, these shoes are worth every penny!

My son is an active kid and these merrell's are thus far handling everything he puts them through, wood chips, mud, snow. They were true to size.

We bought these shoes at the start of the school year and they are already falling apart. Not for daily wear. Comfortable but not durable.

We bought these shoes for our 9 year old. They immediately started cracking where the upper attaches the to cushion foam. These shoes have been on 2 hikes with a total of about 9 miles. That's pretty disappointing. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THESE SHOES.

These were comfortable for my son right out of the box. Traction is great. Only drawback is that laces tend to be those that come undone if they aren't double-knotted. He was less than thrilled about that.

Sturdy, great for hiking and running on trails! Only downside is that the laces seem to come unknotted easily (even from a double knot).

Spent 10 days hiking Bears Ears, Zion, Bryce, and Arches. Great hikes, great shoes!

These were purchased for my child. We do a lot of hiking and orienteering. These were great in all different types of terrain both while walking/hiking and while running an orienteering course. They are comfortable and kept my child's foot dry.

The shoes look great and my son really likes them but there was one flaw. The shoe laces were tearing within the first two days of having them. Kids are hard on their shoes but having to buy new laces for them after a week shouldn’t be happening. I definitely recommend the shoes but would like to see better laces.

The lace loop is broken after 2 weeks of wearing. Do not have chance to test waterproofness.

Bought two pairs of these (one for son and daughter) for a national park trip to Zion, Yellowstone, and Grand Tetons. Kids went on hikes and had good traction and comfort. Highly recommended for aspiring junior rangers!

I bought these for my 11 year old son. He is pretty picky when it comes to shoes and any little irritation bothers him. He loved these and talked about how comfortable they were and he could hike forever. We keep coming back to Merrell products for all our hiking boots and shoes.

My daughters both wore these shoes 3 times and just noticed they are falling apart. We have 2 different sizes so I am thinking it isn’t a defective shoe but an overall defective design. Buyer beware.

Purchased a month ago as a replacement for a previous pair of Merrell’s unfortunately after less than a month of wear the shoe laces shredded and the shoe lace loops started to break. My son plays hard but I expected more than a month of life from these!
