Wishing for half sizes for kids

Bought these for my busy, outdoors kiddo. I wish Keen did half sizes for kids. My son has size 8 Keen sandals from last season that are too small, so I bought him nines and he's swimming in them, and I'm hesitant to exchange since his sandals are too small and I know eventually these will actually fit

Uncomfortable, my kiddo won't wear them.

The upper has parts that don't conform to the shape of his foot and rub, so he won't wear them.

Fray easily

Unfortunately they are fraying day one of my kid wearing it.

Lasted for less than a month

We bought this shoe for our 5 year old son. He is really hard on his shoes. These lasted him less than a month before the sides started to fray and the lace on one of the shoes came out. Keen was very generous with their shoe guarantee but these shoes really did not hold up.
