Birkenstock Unisex Boston Clog

I was very happy with the clogs, but one of the grommets/rivets fell off during the first week. I contacted DSW for a pair of replacement shoes, but they did not have the same pair and do not do shoe repairs. I contacted Birkenstock and they told me that they did not have replacement grommets, and referred me to a shoe repair store. I told them that I did not want to pay for shoe repair within the first week of purchase and they said I should go back to DSW to request a discount on the shoes. What a hassle. I love the shoes. Cannot find a replacement pair anywhere and the manufacturer will not send me a new grommet to repair the shoes myself.

These are my first ever pair of Birkenstocks and I’m 65. I now see what the attraction is. Not that these shoes are that attractive as I have spent my adult life as a shoe addict and these would never have been in my shoe collection. Sadly, I can no longer wear any of those gorgeous, sexy shoes as I have plantar fasciitis and arthritis in my feet which might explain my newest shoe addiction, the Boston Clog. It got to the point where I couldn’t walk. I use to own a restaurant for 25 years, where I wore stylish high heels on Italian tile and now I work in a restaurant and I walk around 15k a day on average. I do have great pair of Nike work shoes but again, not what I would wear outside of work. I decided after researching the Birk Clog that I would get these to wear on a daily basis to see if it helped. Well, after 3 days of wearing them around the house (advised by the shoe company salesperson) my feet were thanking me. I was in disbelief that this shoe could have such a positive impact. So, now I’m a believer and I understand the attraction to this shoe and possibly to the whole lineup of Birkenstocks. I’m walking without pain and I’m saying goodbye to my slides, flip flops, mules, chunky heeled boots and obviously, ANY high heels. They are in a container that is being donated and I’m not going to take these clogs off till there’s another pair in my closet.

The clogs are cute and stylish choice that can be paired with any outfit. It offers good support and its quite comfortable

I was looking for an easy fall shoe and pleasantly surprised with the comfort of the clog. I find Birks comfortable to begin with but it’s now been elevated, maybe because my foot feels like it’s being hugged?! I’m blessed (!) with wide, thick feet and I was totally fine with the narrow width, I’ve actually tightened the strap a couple of times as the suede has relaxed with wear. My foot slides in fine every time I put them on, the clog opening has never been too limp or a bother. Bonus that they keep my feet nice and warm when it’s chilly. I couldn’t be happier!

These are not on sale. I was misinformed thinking DSW had discounts, but they don't. I found the same shoe in the Promenades Gatineau Boathouse for buy one get one 50% on all Birkenstocks. I wish I had known and could return my pair to DSW because I was shopping for a second pair of Birks anyways. Also don't like how the DSW staff follow you around like you're a shoplifter!

Needing a good support shoe this one will suffice. Preferring the black leather I first tried them but they were so hard and uncomfortable. So I exchanged them for this shoe. The softer footbed and supple suede were a game changer in terms of comfort. I also needed to punch another hole in the strap to narrow the width. All is well now and my feet are comfy
