How does the DSW VIP program work?
DSW VIP is a free, multi-tier loyalty program that allows members to earn points with every purchase. Points are accumulated and converted to DSW “Rewards” (cash) that can be used toward future purchases in stores or online.
You’ll also get free shipping for web purchases, a gift for your birthday, points for donating shoes, and more surprise perks (that just keep getting better!).
What if I shop at both DSW and The Shoe Company? Can I be a member of both loyalty programs?
Yes! If you sign up to be a member of the DSW VIP program [associated with DSW stores and DSW.ca] and the Shoe VIP program [associated with The Shoe Company stores and theshoecompany.ca], you can earn points at all these stores in their respective programs.
Where can I find my DSW VIP member number?
You can find it in your account on dsw.ca or the DSW Canada app; in the welcome email you received after signing up for DSW VIP; and on the DSW VIP page by selecting "Forgot it?" next to the DSW VIP member number field.

How do I earn a Reward?
DSW VIP members get a Reward every time they reach 100 points.
Points are earned by purchasing items at DSW stores using your DSW VIP member number, and on dsw.ca using your DSW VIP account.
DSW VIP Club and Gold members receive 1 point for every $1 spent in DSW stores or on dsw.ca . DSW VIP Elite members earn 2 points for every $1 spent in DSW stores or on dsw.ca .
You can also earn points by donating shoes at DSW stores, shopping at our bonus point events, and more!
All Rewards will be credited to your account 24–48 hours following your purchase. You can find your available Rewards any time by logging in to your account on dsw.ca or the DSW Canada app. If you’ve signed up to receive emails or text notifications from DSW, we’ll send you a message when you have a Reward available.
Can I choose my Reward amount?
You can choose the rate at which you receive your Rewards. Your default will be automatically set to receive a $5 Reward once you reach 100 points.
However, if you prefer to save up for Rewards at higher intervals amounts, you can choose to receive a $10 Reward (200 points) or a $20 Reward (400 points).
Rewards will be given at the denomination that you have your preferences set at. For example, if your denomination is set at $5 and you spend $200, you will receive two $5 Rewards.
How do I redeem a Reward?
In DSW stores:
Simply provide the store associate with your DSW VIP member number, and the discount will instantly be applied.
On dsw.ca:
Log in to your DSW VIP account and apply your available Reward(s) during checkout.
On the DSW Canada app:
Like the website, log in to your DSW VIP account, and apply your available Reward(s) during checkout.
What if I lost my email copy of a Reward?
You can provide your DSW VIP member number to an associate in stores, and any available Rewards in your account will be applied during checkout.
When I exchange or return my purchase, do I get my Reward back?
If you’re exchanging an item the same day that your Reward was applied, it will still be valid for the item you're exchanging it for.
For all returns, points will be credited back to your DSW VIP account within 1-7 business days. If you’re returning multiple items, the point value associated with each item will be credited separately to your account.
Why don't I receive DSW VIP points when I buy a DSW Gift Card?
When you purchase a DSW Gift Card, you’re converting your money into "store cash" for your recipient to spend. If the person spending is a DSW VIP member, they will earn points when redeeming the Gift Card.
Gift Cards and e-Gift Cards are the only items at DSW that will not earn you DSW VIP points when purchased.
I have more than one account. Can they be combined?
Yes! Just email service@dswcanada.ca or call toll free at 1.888.874.6326 during regular business hours to start the process.
How do I cancel my DSW VIP account?
You can call Customer Service at 1.866.DSW.SHOES during regular business hours, or email service@dswcanada.ca .
How do I donate shoes?
You can donate new or gently used shoes by bringing them to any DSW store and dropping them in the Shoe It Forward box.
You’ll get 50 points for every donation made! Just let a store associate know about your donation, and give them your DSW VIP member number. Note that points are given per donation, not per pair donated. Points can only be awarded once per day, but are unlimited per year.
We thank you in advance for participating in our Shoe It Forward program! Donations will be given to Soles 4 Souls, a non-profit organization dedicated to providing shoes and clothing to underserved families and individuals in your community and around the world.
What are my shipping benefits as a DSW VIP member?
DSW VIP members receive additional shipping and return benefits on top of our customer-wide free shipping on orders of $80.00 or more.
Club level:
Free shipping on anything with no minimum spend.
Gold level:
Free shipping on anything with no minimum spend.
Elite level:
Free shipping on anything with no minimum spend, plus free in-store returns within 365 days from original purchase date.
How do I get early access to exclusive events?
Ever so often, DSW VIP Gold and Elite members will get a heads-up on special offers, free gifts, and exclusive in-store events. Make sure you’ve signed up to receive emails from DSW – and keep an eye out for these exciting perks!
How do I unsubscribe from your mailing lists?
You can hit the “Unsubscribe” button located at the bottom of any of our promotional emails. You can also contact our Customer Service team through email at service@dswcanada.ca for assistance on unsubscribing your email from our lists.
I signed up for DSW VIP in a store. How do I set up my account online?
It’s easy to set up your DSW account online at dsw.ca (and earn points on all your online purchases!).
Simply register on the website using the same email address you used in store to sign up, create a password, and login. Within the next 24-48 hours, your point balance will reflect points from both your in-store and online purchases, and you will be able to see all of your earned rewards.
