Timberland Womens' Stone Street Boot

I fell madly in love with these boots. I had to have them. I'm a lifelong timberland fan. I have been wearing classic wheat boots since HS (late 80's) and I own several other styles as well, quality is and always has been second to none. I read reviews prior to purchase saying size half size down, glad I did. Perfect fit. I have two issues, the first is my heel pops out unless they're tied super tight (which I never do) AND although the red color is GORGE it rubs off resulting in fade spots. I've only had them a month, worn maybe 3x? They have a few fade spots already. This is very disappointing. I still love them, I just don't feel like they love me back.

I should have read the reviews before buying. I bought my three boys timberland's and loved them paid an arm and a leg for them. I saw the red ones and decided I wanted to go on our Safari to Zambia this summer sporting the Red platforms. I am not a girly pink girl. SO when I got my boots. the disappointment. Aghhh Timberland you done me wrong. That color in not coloring for me. I see you changed the pic on the website to this non red boots. You have removed the actual red. I feel cheated. And I just got mine yesterday. Will not be wearing them.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Hard to get on and off due to stiffness. When taking off, the pads under the sole come out, too. Basically have to unlace every time I wear them. Also uncomfortable due to stiffness, but hoping that gets better as they get broken in. They do feel clunky since they're platform. Trying to figure out where they fit into my wardrobe - whether these are strictly for fashion or can be worn as a utility boot. I did wear them while doing yard work/chopping wood and they felt sturdy but hurt my ankles and were hard to maneuver in. In my opinion, they run small and a little tight (I sized up to a 7.5 to wear with heavier socks since I normally wear size 7 in running shoes, but these felt tight even with sizing up) and wish the laces were just slightly longer. They are very cute, though!

1. The reviews are correct about the color. In the photos, it looks like mayyybe they are a bright red as opposed to deep red, which I was okay with. Unfortunately, they are not. They straight up are pink. If you want the deep/nubuck red, there is a men's version I've seen in person that is spot-on. Order a half size down from your usual size in men's because they are big! 2. I would recommend that if you do buy the men's pair, do it in-store. My refund is held up because my order has been sitting in a FedEx warehouse for a week. If you order online and need to return/exchange, your money could be held up for a while. 3. If you get past all that, the boots themselves are honestly pretty heavy and kind of clunky. If they were the right color, maybe I'd deal. Something to keep in mind.

Stone Streets tend to run just a little big, so I didn't mind having to order a half size down when my sold out. They still fit well! HOWEVER. The red displayed in the picture is NOT the accurate color. They're like a reddish pink. I wanted a true red and loved the sample color. Wildly disappointing, but I don't have time to return them for a different pair. I added the black laces to try to contrast a little, but it didn't help much. Comfy? Absolutely. Color? I hate pink, -2/10.
