Cute but don't stay on her feet

I thought these were cute and practical but the elastic velcro strap does not tighten. Strap only opens and closes to make getting foot in more easily but because it doesn't tighten, the boots fall off my daughter's feet all the time. Interesting that all the positive reviews are by people who received these boots as part of a promotion. If I got these boots free, I guess I wouldn't be annoyed. My daughter cannot wear these boots to school if they fall off when she walks, runs or plays. Not warm when they suddenly fall off and she's stepping in rain or snow or on the cold ground. The boots are her proper size. They are not too big. After I found out about the falling off issue from an educator at her daycare, I looked up honest reviews and saw another mom had complained that her toddler had lost one of their boots while riding in the stroller. Be cautious when purchasing and make sure these fit and stay on your child.

No, I do not recommend this product.

Helpful?

Def would buy this again.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Loved the boots. Seemed very warm and bigger for size so when my son is actually walking and active it my fit him better. Unfortunately I ordered and when I got it there was only one boot side in the box. And no more of the color and size available so he hasn't worn it of course. We just tried it on so we can see if it fits and we can try to go in store and purchase it guaranteeing we have both sides of the shoe. Other than that it looks and feels super warm and durable, very neat. I love the strap to tighten on the ankles.

Warm, Easy On and Off boot for toddler

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The shoes are very nice quality. They have nice warm fur on inside. Huge advantage is they are easy on and easy off. The velcro strap is a nice and easy to adjust. I just wish the Velcro strap was not so elastic as I feel it will stretch too much over time. A little firmer material would be better, Make the strap longer and add more velcro for adjustments. One real complaints are that the boots are short so snow does come in over the top of the shoe, so you have to make sure you put pants over them. Other complaint is that the tongue on the front is not full height on the sides so snow can come in on the sides as the tongue goes over the sides... The inside rib should extend all the way up to keep snow and or water from coming in.... The upper is not waterproof at all.

Yes, I recommend this product.

Boots You Can Get On

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Toddler feet are thick and they do not offer much help in getting shoes on - winter boots add the challenge of a boot structure and usually laces/inserts/etc. These NF boots are great. 1 strap closer which fits across my son's ankle with room to spare. In spite of his "help," we can get these on in no time and I feel great about sending the to daycare. They are super warm (feeling/looking) and very sturdy at the base. No inserts like boots from my childhood. He does not have trouble walking in them and we did go up 2 sizes (which probably helps get his chunk feet in there) - he was wearing a 5.5 XXW tennis shoe and we got him 7s (now he is in 6W shoes and these still fit great). I'm not sure we'll get 2 seasons out of them but they are WORTH the money because they WORK!

Yes, I recommend this product.

Good for Colorado mountain winter..

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Bought them for my 3 year old baby/toddler... It fit perfectly But make sure to measure the feet of your baby and use the chart provided in the northface website.. The heel is a little bit tight but it will be fit a lot better the second or third time of use... My baby step up into several holes in the snow so deep that it covered his knee, and I pull him out.. Removed the extra snow and he was ready and his foots dry and warm.. Now, consider that the snow was pretty dry and not too wet...

Yes, I recommend this product.

perfect for toddlers

These Alpenglow boots for toddlers are perfect size. My grand child is 20 months wear size 6 in sneakers and I bought size 7 in these boots just to account for fur and/padding inside and his socks. His big toe is not all the way to front, but close enough to, but he will get use out of this for 1 winter. And I purchased this on sale. He walks in it perfectly and it is light weight. He's not dragging his feet with that clunking sound. I recommend this boots.
ProsComfortable, Durable, stylish

Great shoes!

So glad I found these shoes! My 14 mo old has short, chubby feet and I have been struggling to find shoes that fit her. These are perfect. The tongue pulls out a lot so I can stuff her feet in there. She wears a 3.5-4, but I got her a 5 and they are actually not that big after putting socks on. They feel very warm and insulated and are adorable (I got pink). This is the 4th pair of shoes I have ordered for her, for reference (none of the first 3 fit).

Yes, I recommend this product.

2nd pair

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] 2nd pair purchased says it all. Anyone that has a kid(s), they play in the snow I recommend. Snowed over 2ft last year, 2021 and my granddaughter's feet 95% of the time was under snow and qe stayed out just under an hour. Got inside and took off boots and North Face's bip for toddlers and both the long Jane pant and socks were totally dry. Warmth due to insulation only adds to the overall quality and comfort. As jokingly mentioned worth a buy back..
ProsAttractive, Breathe Well, Comfortable, Durable, stylish
