SOREL Men's Waterproof Ankeny ll Hiker Plus Winter Boot

These are the boots that made me question everything I thought I knew about Sorel. They are clearly taking the brand in a very different direction and it’s not good. First of all the boots are extremely uncomfortable and the quality isn’t great. They’re not actually hiking boots… they’re dress shoes designed with the aesthetic of hiking boots without the sole to support an actual hike at any distance. The fact that they make these waterproof is almost ironic because wearing these onto any trail at all will leave your feet so incredibly sore you won’t be able to hike again for a week. Maybe they’re build for walking to your car when it’s raining outside after a long day of sitting at your desk in the office? Whatever the case they’re not design for outdoor activities.

I purchased these boots while in Colorado, they were extremely comfortable and protected my feet in the snow/cold. I put these thermal insoles inside them to help and that made a huge difference in comfort. I was in winter park during January and they were excellent. They are hiking boots, most normal people do not hike in -15 degree weather or in deep deep snow. They are not a bad purchase, out of all of the ones i tried on these i liked the most and they performed well for the weather i was encountering.

Disappointed, but it's my own doing. I have a slightly older pair of the same shoe and love them. I did not notice that the model had been modified since, rendering the look very different from the original. I am sure the craftsmanship it the same, but the change is not what I was hoping for, and the photos published do not demonstrate clearly enough the differnce.

I bought this with the intention of hiking with it. I like the looks and the weight, but my feet would get wet when walking on wet grass. I returned it and got a new one thinking it was a defective product. Got a new pair and same thing happened.

Just purchased these boots, comfortable, light and true to fit. Wore them the first time on a rainy day. No need to break in, Previously purchased Sorel sneakers that I really like, influenced my purchase of the boots.

The inside seam of these boots is very thick and coarse. My son wore them for two short hours and came home with bleeding blisters on both of his ankles.

They keep your feet sweaty , they retain the moisture the inner liner is the problem, I threw them in the garbage , I kept the shoe lace's
