Shoelaces are too short

My son loved the look of these shoes! But, the shoelaces are way too short!

Looks good but no cushion or bounce.

On my first day of running it was very hard. The shoes have zero bounce in the sole. I like the look but they are not as comfortable as my last Peregrines. They feel like I’m running barefoot with no cushion.
