Kinvara Redesign - Narrow Toe Box

I was so excited to see the Old Kinvara remodel. I really missed the low drop very minimal light weight shoe. The Kinvara was my favorite shoe for years before they changed the design. While this shoe has all the perks of the old Kinvara, the redesign includes a narrow toe box, not the normal wide toe box that I love which allows me to use more of my foot when I run. That wide toe box is what brought me to Saucony in the first place. The narrow toe box makes my feet go numb before mile 2. The shoes are beautiful, and I wear them out for errands and when I travel; not the running show I was hoping for.

Make sure to size down!

I have run in Saucony shoes for over 30 years. I have always purchased a size 9. I wanted to try the Convergence line as I had heard that they were similar to the Kinvara (another shoe I love). I ordered my usual size and loved the colors, the lightweight-ness, and the minimal drop. The shoe fit perfectly except for the toe width. It is definitely much wider than the Fastwitch and the Type A that I am used to wearing on my runs. I can't return them since I have already worn them, but they are useless to me on a run. However, I can manage wearing them with thicker socks and use them as regular "sneakers." I would certainly size down if you are considering these shoes. If I had done that, they would have been perfect!

Love these

At the beginning of 2022 I got my first pair of real running which were the KINVARA 13 and let me say I’ve never had shoes as good as those. They even looked so cool. Sadly they don’t sell them anymore but these are the new ones that are practically the same. I love how lightweight these are compared to the GELs and they just feel amazing. Not only that component but they are super airy which personally I enjoy a lot. I recommend these to people who run mainly on trails and grass but as long as you have decent ankles you should have no problem on harder surfaces.

Yes, I recommend this product.

Take a Hard Pass on the Convergence

Wish it could be ZERO STARs for this awful product. It should cause Saucony debilitating shame that they even sent this to production, let alone emblaze the Saucony Logo on the shoe. I agree with the reviewer who wrote "it's like strapping 2x4 blocks to your feet" I'm a committed Kinvara consumer (aside from the also miserable Kinvara 14) and thought I'd try the Convergence which many likened to the Kinvara; a bit lighter, low stack without the trending "marshmallow foam" running shoe, but the Convergence would not even satisfy a newbie runner with a budget.

Disappointed

I’ve always loved my kinvaras, so I was excited to try out the convergence. The quality control… leaves something to be desired. The cloth portion of the shoes are uneven (like, the left shoe has less cloth so the laces need to be tied looser and the right shoe has an excess of cloth so the laces have to be cinched tighter to accommodate…). This creates an uneven fit across both shoes (though it’s considerably worse on the right). I guess that’s the last time I buy Saucony shoes online :/

Love these!

I have had these now for just over a month. I walk ALOT....15km (20,000 steps) + pretty much every day and these have been amazing. Very comfy, not too soft, not too firm. Where I walk so much I can often get hip or ankle pain but not with these. I got them in the light pink and I love the look. True to size. I have been using Saucony's for quite a few years now but these are my favs so far. I will being buying another pair where I go through them so quickly. Highly recommend.

Cool comfy shoes

These are very comfortable warm weather sneakers. I had to size up a half a size because the first pair I ordered were a little too tight in the toes and my feet swell in the Summer. So I wore them on a week long trip to Florida and they were great. Comfy in the car(a 12 hour drive) comfy to go on 3 mile walk everyday. They do not make my feet hot. And I like the lower soles.

Not the usual quality

Fits smaller than size and poor support. I ended up with hip/joint pain and a sore part on one of my toes. Which resolved when I stopped wearing these shoes. I do love the look and how light they are. This was the first time I haven't enjoyed my Saucony sneakers, I have worn 5+ other pairs and was very satisfied with the comfort, support and look of the other shoes.
