Rockport Men's Style Leader 2 Oxford

I been a BIG HUGE fan of Rockport for years. I LOVE how Rockport the company makes shoes for guys like me that have a big wide foot. I am VERY picky about shoe size/fit and comfort not so much on brand name because I have had and currently have no name brand shoes that are better than any name brands I ever bought. Anyway, this style of Rockport is the perfect shoe for me and the comfort is GREAT. I wore my Rockport shoes to church and got many compliments. So, for all the Men who read the reviews on this shoe take my word for it you will not be disappointed if you get this shoe.

I recently visited DSW to buy a pair of black dress shoes. I probably tried on every pair, but this one was the first to catch my eye. It was also a perfect fit! I normally need a size 12 or 11 wide, but this was the only one in 11 wide. The others I tried in 12s were still a bit tight. Anyway, compared to the other shoes, this pair looked a little less refined. Maybe it's the sole that looked a little more casual. Some of the really expensive pairs also had less seams in the leather. Regardless, it's still a pretty nice looking shoe. After trying on the others, I went for this pair. And I'm glad I did! The shoes are very comfortable, and surprisingly light! The padded insole also feels great.

My third pair of these shoes because of comfort, wearability, and how quickly you’re able to break them in. I have to wear black shoes that you can polish for work. They stand up to the test in the warehouse I work in. Concrete floors, metal ladders, and at least 7-10 miles a day on my feet. The one gripe I have though, is the laces. Within two weeks of wearing these shoes, the laces get stretched out! They flop all over the place, get stuck on the inside of my shoe while walking, and in general irritate me quite a bit. I know I could just buy a new pair of laces, but I feel that given the price, they shouldn’t stretch out that easily. Once again great shoe, they don’t hurt my feet from the first day I wear them, but I’d prefer a more sturdy lace.

My husband has bought these shoes several times over the years. He doesn’t buy any other kind b/c he says,” these are the most comfortable dress shoes”! And he should know as he wears them five days a week! When he goes dress shoe shopping he may not really pay attention to the brand but when he puts these on in the store and decides they are comfortable then he realizes they are the shoe he always picks - time after time! Nice looking shoe “on” too and when he gets them at DSW they are usually on sale for way less than $100 bucks!

I have purchased these shoes religiously for over 6 years now - and the only thing that has changed about them over that stretch has been the tread pattern on the bottom. They are the MOST comfortable shoes for walking or being on your feet for ANY length of time, they are true to size, and they hold up really well under some pretty extreme regular circumstances (a typical workday for me is 15,000 steps PLUS)! I am now not only BRAND loyal, but individual product loyal - and will ONLY buy these shoes for work!

I purchase and rotate my shoes every six months because I commute to work. I don't allow me shoes to wear out to the point of the shoe sole wearing down. I donate my pairs I replace. The SL2 APRON OXFORD is one of the shoes that are so comfortable, Business casual, and stylish that I maintain in my shoe rotation. I have recently started to purchase one size larger in many of my shoes because they provide a better comfort. I have worn a size 12 for over thirty years. Don't know if it is the styles at DSW that I need to seek a size larger for comfort but it appears to work for me. DSW provides the ease of ways to ship your shoes. I usually just have them sent to the store so if it isn't a fit I can return them on the spot. You will be happy with the Rockport SLS2 Apron Oxford.

Been wearing these new shoes for a week daily and they are very comfortable, very light on my feet. By the end of the day my feet don't feel abused or sore from wearing and walking in shoes all day. The medium width fit very well giving me feet room in the shoes but don't feel loose on my feet, almost like wearing nothing at all. I recommend these shoes for anyone who works on their feet all day. Also have a brown pair that I have worn for 2 weeks before these shoes and they are excellent too.

Desperately seeking some new dress shoes for my return to work in the airlines. I walk A LOT and while I first tried a pair of Johnson and Murphy “wides” that cost three times this price, my husband ordered these because he knew Rockport has a TRUE wide. I am so tired after flying that the first thing I used to do was kick off my shoes. NOW - I swear I could sleep in these. Pain is gone and the quality frankly is BETTER than the J&M’s! About to order four more pair so I have them until I retire!
