Hard to beat

Bought a pair of 880 V13's and loved them, and my daughter got a pair of these and said they were the best shoe she had ever worn (avid Altra, Hoka and Brooks wearer) so I took a shot with these. I was apprehensive about the amount of cushioning on the bottom and these would have to cover double duty in the weight room and for cardio, but the fit is just phenomenal. Doesn't feel too squishy, good stability, good tow box in the wide version for my foot, and they look GREAT! Not sure there is a shoe on the market as well made at this price point. Very happy with this purchase.

Yes, I recommend this product.

Great shoes great price

These shoes are amazing, I have nerve damage in my feet, and ordinary shoes are too tight on my feet. These shoes with the extra wide size allow my feet the extra space I need so that my feet don’t hurt. The extra foot print these shoes have also help my balance issues. These shoes are amazing, I have spent a fortune in an effort to find shoes that are both stylish and help my feet. I’m so happy I have found these. I have two pairs of them now and am hopeful more styles and colors will come out so I can buy more. Thank you NB you have a customer for life.

Yes, I recommend this product.

Upper weak support material

The shoe was comfortable, but the top part of it that holds the most of the ankle support tends to go side to side as the fabric is very thin, even though it has a heavy duty soul it seems that the height and the material that was made in the top are not tangible for each other. It’s quite easy to twist your ankle an extra layer of support support is needed to wrap around the entire shoe on the side and back in front so to prevent your foot and your weight from shifting the shoe from side to side, which will also cause the bottom to wear unevenly

comfortable for distance training, but wears fast

I've run four 5k's in these so far and have noticed the following: 1) these run slightly larger than a few other shoes, including my brooks ghost max2, 10.5 2E. The width is the same, but they're a bit longer. Just something to be aware of if you're changing from brooks to NB. 2) there is already noticeable wear on the forefoot, with the fine surface pattern already worn off on a couple sections. I don't think I'll get more than 150 miles out of these at this rate. 3) cushion is good and similar to brooks ghost max2.

Not sure about quality!

Shoe is lightweight with a very thick bottom as absorbs every bump in the road. Almost feels like I am running on marshmallows. Very comfortable My main concern is that NB and other major shoe makers seem to make the mesh very thin and I can see my toes gradually wearing holes into the front. Why can't you all line the interior with a patch to prevent this from happening? Glad I paid clearance price for them because I see all new shoes in 12 months. Very comfortable but not a durable mesh.

Good cushion for old joints

Good cushion. Like Hokka and other brands, we've got good options from New Balance for people with sensitive joints. In my case, it's all in the knee, no ACL, torn meniscus, etc. So walking in these shoes is better than traditional running shoes. Because I have wide feet, I've worn New Balance shoes for decades. The key issue with any shoe for walking or running is pronation. So far, these are working out well for me, and I expect them to get better as I walk in them more

Not very good for running, not very good quality

I find these to be far too stiff for running which is surprising given all the foam this shoe has. My previous shoes were 880s and I like them better than these. I now use these for walking but that wasn’t my intention when I bought them. Also, I’ve only had them for a few days before I noticed the rubber on the bottom is already peeling. I think these are going to end up in the trash before long. Probably won’t buy another pair of NB shoes online for these reasons.

No, I do not recommend this product.

Team NB
We’re sorry to hear these shoes felt too stiff for running and that you noticed wear on the sole so quickly. We understand how frustrating it is when a new pair doesn’t meet expectations, especially compared to a model you loved like the 880s. Your feedback helps us improve cushioning and durability for future designs. If you’d like assistance finding a style better suited for running with lasting quality, our Customer Care team is here to help.

Just Buy Them!!!

I had both of my hips replaced this year. Premium footwear is a must. New Balance has hit a home run with the Fresh Foam series. You get an amazing pair of shoes for the price point. I tell people I feel like I am standing on sticks of butter. Walking and standing without back, hip and leg pain sure is nice. I really do hope that New Balance continues to make this series of shoes. If they do, I will be a customer for life! I absolutely recommend these shoes.
