Disappointed customer
I bought these a few weeks ago. Previously had a couple pairs of the MOAB 2 and wanted to try the 3s this time. I tried them on as soon as I received them and they felt great - so comfortable. Went on the tread mill for about 3 miles (just walking - nothing strenuous). They were so comfortable. However when I took the sneakers off and stood up I had a sharp pain at the base of my big toe. Shortly after I noticed discoloration starting in the same area. The pain subsided but the bruising continued and encircled my toe. Bruising has lasted for almost 2 weeks. Very disappointed since they felt great. May need to go back to the Moab2.

Very wide/poor fitting
First of all, I love Merrells. I have had many different shoes from them over the years. I bought this style about 10 years back and I loved them and wore them everywhere until there was nothing left! I bought the same style about 3 months ago in the medium width as my new replacement. Unfortunately they feel so wide, and the insole really does not feel adequate. The length feels just alright, maybe even a quarter size larger than my previous pair in the same size. I have tried new insoles to fill up the dead space, but I have even resorted to wearing two pairs of socks... Im disappointed and I'm worried that it could cause an injury down the road.

The best hiking shoe out there!
After years, I finally wore out my old Moab hiking shoes! They had been to the Grand Canyon many times and tons of our rocky trails in Arizona. I just purchased another pair and they continue to amaze me on how reliable they are for hikes stretching over 17 hours a day! If you have serious hiking to do, don’t get the flimsy soles that other companies try to sell you because they are lighter. That is silly. You need the Moab that can go over the roughest terrain out there and will prevent you from paying for hiking shoes every 6 months, choose these instead. You will love them! I hope they continue to keep this shoe available to the hiking community!

Excellent comfort and grip
I bought these shoes for me and my girlfriend and we love the. I'm usually a 7.5 and ordered an 8 and I love the extra room. The shoes are super comfortable, and the tops of my feet feel like they're cuddled by a cloud. The shoes have an amazing grip to them that I'm really impressed with. I used them to hike at Pinnacles National Park and walked on steep graveled terrain without slipping once! I have only used them in dry conditions, and don't plan to use them in the snow or in the rain. Additionally, the shoes are light so it doesn't feel like I'm sacrificing much with wearing these Merrells over my trail runners. Would definitely recommend these shoes!

Shoes🥾

Pros:
• Color: Gorgeous and exactly as expected—one of the standout features!
• Roomy Fit: Very spacious, even with thicker socks; no need to size up.
• Sturdiness: Feels super solid and durable.
• Grip: Excellent traction on smaller neighborhood trails—very grippy.
• Style: Looks great overall; stylish and functional.
Cons:
• Not Waterproof: Feet got wet walking through damp grass, despite thinking they were waterproof.
• Lack of Arch Support: Not ideal for high arches—didn’t provide the support expected, even though this model was recommended.
• Fit Advice May Be Misleading: Many say to size up, but that wasn’t necessary in this case—they already run roomy.

Surpassed expectation
I’m new to Merrell and researched this as an option long before buying, I was not disappointed. Compared to the other option I purchased at the same time (the antora 3) these had better arch support and despite the loud squeaking indoors, it was not noticeable on the trail. The first outing I took these on was over wet terrain and loose rocks up steep hills. They provided sturdy grip and traction, I felt confident weaving up and down the switch backs. I have had two knee surgeries and was happy at the amount of cushion. After a three hour hike the only thing sore were my shoulders! I would highly recommend these.

Perfect arch support and fit right out of the box!
True to my history with Merrell Jungle Mocs, these Moab 3 were a perfect fit immediately, and are just getting better with each wear.
I recently had foot surgery on each foot (those sexy bunions) and needed really good, adjustable support. Immediately I turned to Merrell. My research brought me to the Moab 3, and I couldn't be happier.
These shoes offer perfect toe-box fit, excellent cushion, and solid arch support, and as always, give a perfectly comfortable fit right out of the box.
I swear these improved my healing time by weeks.
Bonus points for looking great, too (the blue is hard to beat).

Rock Solid Stability!
I bought my first Moab 3's just after Covid began. I was without a car in the city, and walked everywhere -- I suffer from hallux valgus and I sometimes feel a little unbalanced, but when I put these shoes on, my life changed! The rock solid stability of these shoes gave me the confidence to face longer and longer walks! Fortunately the hiking-sneaker look fits in with what I wear normally. I wear them every day for everything. My feet are rendered a little wide because of the hallux valgus, but the regular width shoes fit me perfectly without any tightness! Thank you, Merrell! Very happy camper!
