This is our second pair in this style from converse. Our first pair was in kindergarten and was perfect for easy on and off (Velcro and wide opening). My son loves these shoes too.

Make sure you allow space for growth. They run a perfect fit. Though as a growing child (you know how quick they outgrow). Size up!
