My grand daughter wanted mid rise black and white sneakers she is 9 years old and knows what she likes .Ladies sneakers in this style were tight and we were introduced to the kids section ! Never mentioned boys ! Sneakers but she did find a pair with good fit and she was pleased and so was I since they were $20.00 cheaper!

I bought these for myself in 5.5Y & the fit is good. I normally wear a 7.5-8 women’s which would translate to a 6Y but like other reviews say these do run large so the 5.5Y fit even w a thick sock. Mine don’t have a red line it’s black which I like even more. For the price these are a good buy
