Loose fitting

I got these in the sand taupe color because I figured it would be a good neutral, it is very pale, a bit paler than I prefer. I love that these are leather and have a good sturdy comfort sole. However, these fit me loose, though they have velcro to tighten up a bit, the one strap cannot be adjusted, and it is too loose. I feel as though my foot tends to want to slide forward in these. I don't like my shoes to fit tight, but I also don't want them so loose that they feel like my foot is swimming around in them. I'm afraid these will have to go back. I got my normal 7.5 medium width and length is fine, it is just the width of the straps, it feels more like a wide width. If you have wider feet these will probably be fine for you
