Great product, great service, great sale!

I found the unicorn: a beautiful pair of Birkenstocks on sale! Found my size, tried them on ... went home to think about it. Came back and ... my size was gone. I searched the shelves but to no avail. I'd missed out. I stepped through the door, then suddenly wondered, What if ...? I re-entered the store and asked whether there was any chance they had more of this sale item in the back. "No, but we can probably order in your size!" WHAT?! Special-ordering in a sale shoe?! At no extra charge? Since when does anyone do that? I held my breath while the clerk searched online. Sure enough, a store on the mainland had my size. It would be there in three days. They fit, they have the legendary comfort of a Birkenstock, and they're gorgeous (in my eyes anyway 😂). And I almost missed out! Great service still exists. Thank you!

Cute but uncomfortable

I always thought Birkenstocks were ugly, but the Madrid changed my mine. They are cute and I love the wide buckle. Since they are expensive, I enjoy the prestige when I wear them. I was very disappointed in the comfort though. The wide band cuts into the top of my foot, and the bump beneath the toe area was hard to get use to. I did like how they were adjustable and stayed on my feet.

Looks Good But Not Comfortable

I’ve had my eyes on these for more than a year now, and I started seeing them everywhere. I asked around and read reviews and heard they weren’t that comfortable, but they seemed comfortable enough in the store. They’re fine for short periods of time, but I wouldn’t want to wear these if I were on my feet all day and verifiably not if there were a lot of walking. Even if I have just a normal day, my feet are always sore and tired if I wear them all day. Such a shame. I’ll still wear them but just on limited occasions. Certainly not the comfortable, supportive Birks I’m used to.

Fits true to size, looks very nice on. Can’t wait for the weather to warm up to try them out. These run a little more narrow than typical Birks that why I purchased them.
