Brooks Womens Ghost 17 Running Shoe Wide

The redesigned heel area doesn't work for me at all. The shoes hurt my heels as soon as I put them on. Adjusting the laces and walking around didn't help. I compared the 17s to the 16s I already have. The new heel tab is quite a bit higher, and the overall heel structure is much more rigid. I love my 16s, and I was hoping the 17s would be just as comfortable. But they're not. They're going back.

I walk around 4 miles a day... on pavement... so I need durable shoes. I am very happy with my Brooks, and would recommend to anyone looking for a great walking shoe.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Very comfy and soft. The updated padding is great! The new tongue is a little different shaped than my others . I have a high arch and on the right foot the tongue was digging into my foot by the laces. I fixed it by not lacing it to the last eyelet on that foot.

These Ghost 17 shoes let me ride my bike and walk 3-7 miles a day. I really depend on them to keep me moving.

They are good but I have plantar fasciitis and the glycerin are better. Just wished u had more womens wide and brighter colors. Brooks are all I wear!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was so looking forward to a new pair of running shoes but ended up disappointed. The toe bed is too narrow making it feel tight. Sent them back.

I echo many of the other comments on how disappointing this shoe is. I wear a narrow and there is such a limited amount of choices in shoes for me. The 15 and even the 16 were good for my narrow foot, but the 17 is horrible, I can barely wear them for more than 7 hours (work in an ED and on my feet all day). The others were great, but my heel slips and the toe box on the narrow is wide. Even my legs hurt after trying to wear these. I use to wear Adrenaline, but that has also changed. There are already so few choices for those who wear narrow shoes. I originally bought 2 pair of these as narrow go fast, but ended up sending the second pair back.
