Disappointed

I never wore Birkenstocks until I had bunion surgery on both my feet and now they are my go to sandals. I was looking for something for winter that maybe I could even wear to work since it’s a casual atmosphere and I ordered these. I went a size up so that I’d be able to wear them with thick socks, but when I tried them on, they just weren’t comfortable and rubbed the top of my feet. I could maybe get away with a thin sock but they just didn’t feel right, not like my regular Birkenstocks. Fortunately I was able to exchange them for another pair of regular Birkenstocks since we’ve had pretty mild weather in Texas and I can get away with it.

I received these about a week ago, and I’m in love! These are by far the best slippers I’ve owned, so comfortable and cozy—although the wool is extremely warm, which maybe isn’t the best for Southern California where I live. I own three pairs of Birkenstocks already—two Arizonas and a Madrid—and because I’m a 40 in all of them, I figured a 40 would work in these. But the 40 was too small and I had to size up to a 41, which fits perfectly. I have a narrowish foot and the width of these works great for me.

Good slippers

This is the first pair of Berks that I've liked. They're considered to be a slipper, but I wear them to run quick errands, since they have a hard sole. The inside is lined with warm fleece, so they're perfect for cold days, and they have a supportive arch feature, which feels good. The brand normally doesn't fit me very well, but this style seems to and is quite comfortable

They’re Birks, they fit how they fit - footbed. I’m an 8 ½-9, I get the 39’s (8) in Birks & they’re a perfect fit. I have a high arch: a-ok. I also have a high instep: not so great. A little pressure on the top of my foot from the upper, just enough to make them uncomfortable. Going to try a few ways to stretch them out as it’s been 2wks & no stretch yet. 🤞🏼🤞🏼

So comfortable!

I bought this a few weeks ago and absolutely love them. They’re great for everyday use and my arches feel much better as I am constantly walking around and standing up at home as I work from home and my kiddos are in virtual school.
However, the box it came in was extremely damaged and fell apart. I’m
Glad the slippers were fine!

I thought I knew slippers until today. I’ve never owned a pair of Birkenstocks but I now understand their cult following. The support is incredible and I don’t find the fur too warm for spring, especially if you live in a colder
climate. I had to go a size up from my regular shoe size and they fit perfectly. Highly recommended!

Disappointed

I really like all my Birkenstocks and expected to feel the same about these but don’t! Bought one size down because I expected the sole fabric to compress. It really did and they’re probably 2 sizes too big now. That great Birkenstock arch support doesn’t exist now and I just have a sloppy slipper now.

Overall I like the slipper. However, up in the toe area the footbed feels odd. I have been trying to press down on it. Not sure why this is. The box said ‘narrow’ on it. I usually take regular width. I didn’t expect this for the price.
