Birkenstock Women's Gizeh Sandal

This is my second pair of Birkenstocks. My first pair was purchased for me by my mom at age 18 (I'm 31 now) and I still wear that pair too! Birks are timeless and OH SO COMFORTABLE! I ordered these online and they arrived at my door 3 days later. I'm glad I took the advice of all the other buyers and purchased a size smaller. I normally wear an 8 or 8.5, but purchased a 7/7.5 (size 38) and THEY FIT PERFECTLY!! I will wear these to work, running errands, or working around the house. Great investment!! They were stiff for just a few hours, but feel great now!!! You won't regret buying these! All the ladies at work are in love and plan to order a pair too :)

Birkenstocks always fit the same once you know your size. I am a slightly wide-ish 9 and the European 40 fits perfects every time. The Gizeh is a cute thong sandal... better than the usual 'jesus-sandal' Birkenstock sells, very minimalistic in style but your foot stays in place on the footbed. The black is nice and crisp without being shiny. If you haven't worn Birkenstocks before the support of the footbed is different, although nice and will take a few days to get used to. I would't recommend wearing it all day the first time if you haven't owned Birkenstocks before - just a couple hours to begin. I live in Birkenstocks so wore them out and about all day first off!

First of all these have the best arch support ever! The soles are molded to fit the curves and arches of feet and that really make a difference in comfort. I wear them around the house instead of slippers or flip flops because those don't give my feet support and my feet end up hurting after an hour but I could wear the Birkenstocks all day long. The soles are not soft and cushy but they are still the most comfortable shoes ever! They are also the perfect summer style. Interesting thong-like design that you can wear with a cute summer dress or shorts and a tshirt. I love these so much I am buying other styles also!

This is the fourth pair of Birkenstocks Gizeh sandals I’ve bought. Usually, I buy the Arizona style because the adjustable buckles work better for my short wide foot. But, the footbed is wide enough in the Gizeh and the adjustable buckle adjusts enough to fit my feet. I will agree with those who have said the toe piece can be uncomfortable. Of the four pair I have, only one of them, and it’s not the white one that I just bought, rubs a blister in between my toes but just on one foot. So I know I have to wear a Band-Aid between the toes if I’m wearing that pair of sandals. Overall, this is a perfect summer shoe.

I adore my new Birkenstock Gizeh sandals! I've only had them about a week, but have been wearing them non-stop, and they are getting more comfortable every day. I hope that DSW will eventually begin carrying more color selections, because I am certain I will want another pair of these sooner rather than later. They are much cuter in person, and they actually go with more of my wardrobe than I would have thought. Again, this is where the need for even more colors comes in. :) I'd advise ordering a size down from what you typically wear- these run big. I highly recommend picking these up! I have back *and* foot issues - and I can tell I am going to be a fan for life. They are worth the investment.

I bought these Mother’s Day weekend, a gift from my husband! They are so pretty and fit my feet so well. I was looking for a sandal that would allow my big toe to be free and these fit the bill. A warning… these take commitment to get used to. I read many articles about this sandal as it’s my first time wearing Birks. The toe piece is rigid and I almost returned them because of it. However, I persevered and I hardly notice it now. I learned it can take some people up to a month to fully break in this style sandal! They are beautifully made and look nice with many outfits.

I have had these for 1 year now (2 seasons). The first season I wore them, I wondered how these are so beloved by so many. Now this season, I fully understand why: they are the most comfortable pair of shoes I own (and I have over 300 pair). I love this Gizeh style bc they cover your toes and don’t make them look awkward like some of the other styles. Give these a chance, I’m so glad I did. They take some time to break in, but once they are, your feet will thank you! Tip- I am a 7/7.5 in regular shoes, and the 37 fits like it. If you’re ordering online, size down.

I am so happy! My timing was perfect when I placed my order. The day I picked them up at my DSW the sun came out! It has been sunny and warm ever since. I love the classic style of the thong - Gizeh. I recommend wearing them for an hour at a time to warm up to them so that they conform to your feet. My podiatrist is much happier now that I am wearing properly supported shoes in warm weather aka sandals. Get them and be patient during the transition time. It is well worth it and I know I will have these for years! I wish I could buy all the colors!
