Birkenstock Women's Arizona Slide Sandal

Birkenstock makes great sandals and shoes, and the Arizona slide is no different: high quality materials and construction. This style is almost like a cross betweeen a sandal and a shoe, with a bit more coverage, and is very comfortable on the foot. I also have the Franca sandal, which is more lightweight, and extremely comfortable. I normally wear a size 7 1/2, and with the Franca style the 38 fits nicely. This style seems to fit a bit differently, and I am almost between the 38, which almost seems to short, and the 39, which seems a bit long. The gold tone sandal is beautiful - not flashy, but a nice, softer gold.

I’m very glad I went in store to try these shoes on. I have been wearing Birkenstocks for years and this is the first time I’ve had to size up to a 41 (normal size 40). In comparison to other Arizona’s, the white just seemed to run a tad short and my toes were hanging off in the 40’s. Not a huge deal- but beware of this if buying online. That said I adore these White Birks. They are NOT whiney, but the birko-flor material (matte) which is what I wanted. Very on trend and I know these will last years. (Yes the bottoms will get dirty, but the uppers will clean up nicely). As with any Birkenstock, you need to break them in, but once you do they will become your go to sandal!

Bought these online forgetting that DSW only sells narrow Birkenstocks online. Whomp whomp. The description says medium width, but the sandal box notes narrow, and they are definitely a narrow fit. My feet are average, and my heels were spilling over the heel cup. Returning these and purchasing from the Birkenstock store because DSW doesn’t sell my desired color (copper) in store in a regular/wide width. Hoping I remember next year and don’t make the same mistake a 3rd time, lol! Definitely a beautiful sandal if you have a narrow foot! Super recommend. I’m on my 3rd pair of the regular/wide fit, and I love them.

So I’m sure the quality and all might be German, which still doesn’t justify the outrageous price for flip flops but anyways, i decided to give them a try. I do love the style but the problem is that only Birk has this overly complicated sole which ended up just hurting my feet. My foot is not flat, not wide, not swollen just a plain old regular foot I could not believe how truly uncomfortable these were. My husband does have flat and wide feet and he hated men’s Birks too. My son liked his Birks but I returned them anyways in case they end up hurting, he has flat feet too and only wore his Birks in the store.

Have not worn Birkenstocks in many years but wanted to give them another try. I read on Google that you have to start by wearing them an hour a day and increase the time for the next two weeks where they will feel comfortable as they form to your feet and your feet get used to them. So, it took about three weeks but they are oh, so very comfortable and supportive now that I went out and bought a second pair! They always look great with a pair of flared or bell bottom jeans or jean shorts. Very happy with them and I have noticed that my lower back does not hurt as often since I started wearing them.

i love birkenstocks but i will never buy them from DSW again. the description on the dsw website says "The shoe’s fit is medium width but listed by Birkenstock as Narrow Fit or Regular Fit on the item box." This is not really accurate. Birkenstocks come in 2 widths: narrow/medium and regular/wide. When you order them from DSW you do not get a choice, it's just a random pick between the two. Narrow/medium is too narrow for me so i need to order them directly from Birkenstock or go in store and hope that they happen to have the correct width in stock in order to be sure I will get regular/wide width.

So I bought these because people have told me they’re so comfortable, mine haven’t gotten there yet. I only gave these a four-star because for the first two weeks I felt like I was walking on rocks....they hurt my feet. I’ve had them now for a month and they’re tolerable and very dirty inside. The suede has collected so much dirt. I’ve heard that you can clean them so, I’ll eventually try that. These shoes do give good foot support and I believe that is why I gave them stars. So, if you can get past the pain of breaking them in.....yes I would recommend these shoes for the foot support.

I finally decided to take the Birkenstock plunge. I had tried on a few pairs in stores prior to placing my order, so I knew the style, fit and size that worked best for me. A 37 is true to size for a 6.5 women's foot. My feet are on the narrower side, but I ordered medium width and just adjusted the straps to the second-to-last hole on the middle strap and third-to-last hole for the strap by my toes. This gives my feet plenty of breathing room, and no strap marks! I haven't gotten blisters yet, and am even considering getting a pair of "house Birkenstocks" that I can wear inside.
