Wonderful fit!

I bought these after seeing that they were a narrow fit. My feet are very narrow and a regular width Birkenstock would just not work. These are a perfect fit. I normally wear 8 to 8.5 and the sandal in this size is right. I would say that the color is paler compared to the photo on the Shoe Company website and I would call it more of a "sand" color. I've attached a picture taken outside in natural light to try to convey this. I wanted something neutral so this is fine with me. The buckles allow for full customization of the fit. There's very good arch support. I hope to enjoy these for many years!

Franca Birkenstock Sandal

I needed a new pair of Birks to replace my Arizonas that were falling apart after more than 10 years. I was trying to decide between this and the Mayari sandal. I wasn't sure if I would like the toe part of the Mayari so I tried this one instead. I am glad that I went with this one. They feel very similar to the Arizonas but just have thinner straps. My last pair were the regular width and these ones are the narrow fit. I had avoided buying the narrow fit in the past thinking that they would be too small but these fit well. I normally wear size 8-9 in shoes. I ordered these in a 39 and my heel is very close to the back of the sandal but that is how I have always worn birks and I find that type of fit comfortable. If I go up a size I find them too big.

I bought these in dark brown and pink, the pink to go with a specific outfit, and the brown to go with everything :). Stone has always been my favorite Burk color but both of these new ones are great! Been wearing Burks for 40+ years and sometimes struggle with choosing the correct size in the various styles. I am a 9-9.5 and got these in both 39 and 40. In this style the 39 was the right choice and I kept both colors in 39. I love how they are a little more feminine and lighter looking than some of the others (I love them all) and would buy them again for sure. DSW makes returns easy. zero regrets. <3

Confusion Between DSW Width sizing & Manufacturer.

Dsw needs to use the same language as Birkenstock. I ordered a medium thinking I was getting “Medium/Narrow” and instead received “Regular/Wide”. Can’t ordered the narrow online despite my store having a ton just not in the right size/color. They are cute but a little too wide for me (and I have Arizona’s that drove me crazy because of that.) back to the store again. 🤦🏻♀️
Meanwhile had to order my daughter a pair online because she needed the regular/wide in a different style and I went directly to the manufacturer. Should have just done that for mine as well. Or maybe hers would have come in the right size from DSW:
So incredibly irritating. Use the same language as Birkenstock please!!

Birkenstock quality!

My first pair of Birkenstocks! This style, the Franca, is very attractive on the foot: less bulky, with a lot of flex for easy walking. The sandal stays securely on my foot when walking, thanks to its deep heel bed and grip under the toes. The three straps adjusted / buckled very easily. I wear a 7 1/2 shoe, and tried on the 38, as well as the 39. While the 39 did fit, it seemed a bit too long, and chose the 38, which seemed to fit very nicely, with a small space at the heel, and a bit of space above the toes. I have regular width feet, and this sandal fit perfectly. For a wide foot, it might be too narrow of a fit. I bought the tan color, which is very neutral, and goes with everything. Very easy to slip on and off. Love it!

So comfortable, supportive, and cute! Franca is one of my favorite styles (the other is Mayari). I do wish Birkenstocks' outsoles were a little longer-lasting, as they tend to wear out first (when the rest of the shoe is totally fine). But I still get a lot of miles out of them and tend to wear them everyday. The light brown leather is beautiful and the perfect neutral that matches everything. My feet are a true size 7. I used to size down to a 37 (which is US 6 to 6.5), but recently realized I prefer a 39 (which is US 7 to 7.5).

More Medium Than Narrow IMO

I read all the reviews before ordering, thank you! These Franca’s do come in Birk’s narrow style footbed, but that came about because their regular footbed is wider than most and too wide for many. It still offers a wide toe area and adjustable straps. I love the lighter brown color, especially because there are so many darker versions out there. And the straps are cute; again less common than the two wide bands of the original.
