SOREL Women's Out N About IV Classic Waterproof Winter Boot

These boots started off great for the times I needed them after purchasing in late November 2023. After only wearing maybe 10-12 times I noticed a cold/wet feeling where the toe are meets the rubber around the shoe. I called Sorel and was told because it is out of the 1 year warranty nothing can be done. I explained based on the weather and usage, they have only been worn a few times and I should not be feeling the wet/coldness. Sorel will not stand by their product unless purchased within the year, even if only worn a few times. There is no visible damage that would cause the cold/wet to come through. Beware as these are not inexpensive boots.

They keep my feet: so dry, so warm, so comfortable! The traction is amazing, so good that one time my shoe stopped, but I kept moving forward and bumped my head on the door. I don’t know what people are talking about saying they’re not comfortable, because mineare super comfortable. Maybe it’s the size and width of your foot… I have a narrow foot and I always wear thick socks to fill the shoe (I am a 6 1/2 to 7 normally but bought these on sale in a 7.5). And since it really only rains where I am in CA in the winter when it’s often cold, a thick sock is preferred anyways. I’ll recommend and buy these again and again.

I’ve had Soral rain boots in the past, but so far after wearing these two times (several miles each time), I just can’t get past the pain. Sizing wise they fit perfectly, enough room in toe box and length, but something in the left boot rubs so badly that I am left limping after wearing these (thus only two uses.) I will try a pair of thicker socks and see if that helps. Honestly it’s a little weird, I’ve never had an issue like this before where one shoe was causing so much pain. I did purchase these for a trip where I’ll be in heavy rain (based on other reviews doesn’t seem like they are super waterproof) and walking a ton so at least I know now these aren’t worth the weight in my luggage.

There are pros and cons to the boots. I got them in December as a Christmas gift. I love the styling and versatility of the boot. They are also some of the most comfortable boots I’ve ever worn. Excellent for walking on concrete for long hours. As for the cons, one of the shoes developed a squeak a month ago that I can’t get rid of. I hear it while walking on every smooth surface, so that is getting to me. Also, they are not waterproof for prolonged exposure. I was pressure washing recently and my boots, socks, and feet were completely saturated. The water was sloshing inside the boot. Kind of disappointed about that, but in everyday situations like rainy weather, they keep your feet dry and warm. Super cute boot.

I really love the look of these boots, they are fashionable and practical. I am a size 10 in all of my shoes, listened to other reviews and got an 11. I could have fit into a 10.5 so do with that what you will. The actual sole of this boot is quite hard, wish there was a little more padding under my feet. I stepped into a huge slush puddle the day after I got them (UGH) and can confirm they are waterproof! I would reccomend these boots but I'm going to look into getting inserts. Walking all day with these, my dogs were barking.

I wanted to love these boots. They are cute and stylish, but I just could not get over how awkward they felt the second I tried to walk in them. I’m not sure if the pair I got is just defective, but with every single step, the outside of the sole would hit first and then my foot would roll inward. Upon inspection, it looks like the sole is slanted outward from the upper where your foot would be. The left isn’t as noticeable, but there is no way I could walk more than a few steps in these.

These boots did not hold up well. The toe seam at the sole came unsealed letting water into the shoe. I superglued it closed. But then the black rubber toes started splitting. The laces got a lot of runs in them. Also the inner seams of the tongue were very bulky and didn't lay flat at all. I was really disappointed in the quality of this shoe. I've purchased many pairs of Sorels over the years, these were really not up to standards. Spent way too much money on such low quality.
